§ 2-93. Department of finance.

  • There is hereby created and established a department of finance, which department shall be responsible for the collection of all fees and licenses due the town and shall be responsible for the establishment of a general accounting system in keeping with acceptable standards of accounting, inventory control of property of the town and shall be responsible for the processing of personnel matters. This department shall also be responsible for the processing of purchases of all personal property, materials and supplies including lease or rental for use by the town and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the town manager in writing. The director of this department shall be appointed by the town manager subject to approval of the town council and may be removed by the town manager with the approval of the town council. The director shall keep the town manager informed of the activities of this department.
