§ 6-3. Prohibited hours of sale.
No person shall sell, serve, cause, or permit the selling, serving, drinking or consuming of any spirituous or intoxicating alcoholic beverage, including liquor, malt liquors, wines or beer, at or on the premises of any public place of business, including stores, bars and restaurants or by such places or persons holding a license for the sale of the same, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on each day of the week and between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and between the hours of 11:00 p.m. on Sunday and 7:00 a.m. on the following Monday, except as otherwise provided in this section. It shall be lawful for any vendor, which is licensed by the state to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, to sell and serve, and permit to be sold and served, alcoholic beverages between the hours of 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and 2:00 a.m. the following Monday when December 31 (New Year's Eve) falls upon such Sunday. The town council may temporarily expand the hours that alcoholic beverages are permitted to be sold or served within the town limits by resolution.
