§ 30-22. Temporary barricades.

  • (a)

    Whenever construction, alteration, demolition, cleaning, the moving of heavy objects or other work that is to be done on or next to the exterior of a building or structure adjacent to sidewalks or street lines, and the nature of the work does not involve the use of heavy tools or materials and can be accomplished during daylight hours with no material or equipment left on the sidewalk or public space overnight, the town manager may permit a temporary barricade of rope or other material on the inner half of the sidewalk or public space.

    (b)

    Such barricade shall be removed at the end of each working day and sidewalk or public space cleared.
